Anytime the word “Empowerment” is mentioned in Cross River State, two names automatically comes to mind; Sen Jarigbe Agom and Chief Peter Akpanke. Chief Peter’s nack for empowering his People over the years have elevated him to the high rank of Senior human capital developer of the Masses.

Recall that Mr Peter has through his Foundation, (The Akpanke Foundation) sponsored various skill acquisition programs, offered startup capital to women and youths for various businesses, empowered youths with fully furnished shops, supported farmers with improved inputs and etc.

As candidate of the PDP for House of Reps representing Obanliku/Obudu/Bekwarra Federal Constituency, Chief Peter Akpanke has reaffirmed his commitment to Human capital development as he has promised in his blueprint that his representation shall include the attraction of financial empowerment to his constituents. As a House member, he has promise to liaise with both Local and international financial institutions to link them to capital that is required to set up businesses and invest in multinational corporations and extractive industries such as oil and gas, or alternative economic potentials like Agriculture in specific areas like palm estates, cassava farming and processing, peanuts farming and processing, yam farming and processing, Bee farming and honey processing, introduction of cocoa farming and processing to his constituents and etc.

From his sterling and consistent dedication to human capital development as a private citizen, The good people of OBO federal Constituency should be certain of the aforementioned commitments in human capital Development as promised by chief Peter Akpanke.
