As Muslims all over the world celebrate one of the most important holidays on the Islamic calendar, the Eid el Kabir today, the PDP candidate for Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency, Barr. Godwin Offiono aka Goffio has felicitated with Muslims in Ogoja/Yala and the world at large.
Goffio encouraged Muslim faithfuls to emulate Ibrahim, who willingly wanted to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to Allah’s command – reason for today’s celebration. He further admonished all to share and tolerate one another, pray for the peace and unity of Nigeria and the world in general.
Goffio sued for continuous love, kindness and harmonious relationships amongst religions.
Eid-El-Kabir also known as “Feast of the Sacrifice,” refers to the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice Ishmael on Mount Moriah, according to Islamic tradition. It is a celebration of love, kindness, and exchange of gifts.
