The Director General of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Janet Ekpenyong has congratulated the All Progressive Congress National Women Leader, Dr Betta Edu for her triumphant homecoming and free medical Outreach in the town of Adadama , Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State.
The outreach which was part of Dr Betta Edu’s homecoming celebration as a result of her elevation to the most prolific women coordinator in the country had over 500 beneficiaries who were diagnosed, examined and offered treatment for their challenging health needs.
She said, such interventions which has been sustained for over 10 years, shows magnanimity and total love for the people, dispelling assertions that it was politically motivated.
“Today we are here to support our beautiful women leader and the most prolific women coordinator in the country who has brought quality and a lasting healthcare to not just the people of Adadamawa ward , but Abi Local Government Area and Cross River State as a whole.
For over 10 years, we have been coming here to support our people, the young, aged, vulnerable with both material and medical utilities courtesy of Dr Betta Edu and her family, today is another big day as our Doctors, Nurses and other health workers have already attended to over 500 people checking their blood pressure, sugar level and other diagnosis as well as administration of drugs to them.
I want to use this opportunity to congratulate her on her well deserved elevation to the national level as I’m assured that, through her office, more Cross Riverians will be empowered and uplifted in the nearest future”.
The outreach also had the State’s Deputy Governor, Professor Ivara Esu, State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Mr Alphonsus Eba, Members of the Cross River State House of Assembly, State Executive Council and Chairmen of Council in Attendance.
