Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku federal constituency Candidate in the 2023 general elections, Chief Peter Akpanke received massive endorsement from residents of the largest ward in Bekwarra, ‘Gakem Ward’.
Chief Peter Akpanke, described Gakem in Bekwarra LGA as his traditional home. He made this assertion at the gathering of party supporters and residents of the community where he had an interactive session with them on his plans to transform the Federal Constituency as a Federal lawmaker.
Chief Akpanke stated that, his vision for Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku federal constituency is to bring federal presence to the zone by constructive and results oriented engagements with the federal authorities. He regretted there is no federal presence in Gakem even after the Iconic Nigeria/Biafra war, Gakem being one of the community most affected. He emphasized that time has come for Bekwarra/Obudu/ Obanliku federal constituency to have a voice that every nook and crannies of the Constituency will be heard.
He urge the people to votes for Sen. Sandy Onor for Governor, Dist. Sen. Jarigbe Agom, Himself for Federal House and Barr. Omang Charles Omang for State House Assembly.
In their separate remarks, Mr. Don Rochris said from the mammoth crowd that came out to receive the House of Reps Candidate, is indicative of the overwhelming support the PDP enjoys in the area. Mr. Adula Abutung promises by God willing the area will deliver its large chunk of votes to the PDP.
Others on his entourage include the State Auditor of the party, Hon. Adida Agabi and the former Secretary of Council, Mr. Odey Omagu, De Rock Movement Coordinator Obanliku, Dr. Adie Ishiekwen and many others.
