The Hon. Commissioner for Health Dr.Janet Ekpenyong interfacing with the Executives of the Cross River State Chapter of Medical Women Association of Nigeria.
The association, led by the President Dr.Vivian Otu called on the Hon. Commissioner to congratulate her on her well deserved appointment. According to Dr. Otu, Dr.Janet’s appointment did not come as a surprise because of her antecedents especially in the Primary Health care Agency So they have come to let her know they are very proud that she is one of them and she has their unwavering support.
The medical women Association also intimated her of their upcoming rally on World Cancer day, which they hope she will do them the honour of flagging off.
Speaking during the visit, Dr. Janet said she felt honoured by their kind gesture and support. She assured the medical women Association that her passion for the health and wellbeing of Cross Riverians is unwavering and that with her elevation to the position of Hon. Commissioner for Health, she is poised to do more.
Highlight of the visit was the presentation of a plaque to Dr. Janet Ekpenyong in sepcial recognition of her diligence and hardwork by the Medical Women Association of Nigeria, Cross River State Chapter.
