In continuation of its statewide campaign for the forthcoming gubernatorial, National Assembly and State Assembly elections, the Campaign trail of the Cross River State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of the DG, Barr. Effiok Cobham was in Bakassi and Akpabuyo Local Government Areas today, where it was received by an unprecedented jubilant crowd.
In his speech, the Party’s governorship candidate, Senator Prof. Sandy Ojang Onor, appreciated the large turnout of party faithful and supporters, pledging to restore the lost glory of Cross River State as well as improving on the solid foundation laid by their son, H. E Donald Duke.
He reiterated that, if he is elected as governor, the restoration of electricity, gainful employment, human and infrastructural development, and other forms of empowerment which are the legacies of the PDP will be his primary focus.
Ntufam Ekpo Okon, Lady Emana Duke Ambrose-Amawhe, Hon. Ekeng Effiom and other candidates of the party, took turns to address their prospective constituents, pledging to serve the people selflessly when elected into their respective offices.
Other party stalwarts present include, the State Chairman of the party, Barr. Venatius Ikem, H. E Donald Duke, Sir Arthur Jarvis, Hon. Denis Nkiri, Barr. Paul Ishabor, Barr. Michelle Monn, Mr Royjones Akpak etc.
