The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate for Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency, Barr. Godwin Offiono aka Goffio, has Kick-started a water intervention program following the outbreak of Cholera in some part of Yala LGA. The incoming MP who’s poised on seeing people live healthy, has started with the installation of borehole at Wanudu in Ijiraga ward, South Ukelle, Yala LGA.
Cholera which is predominantly caused by consumption of contaminated water has caused many health hazards in the area. Just as Distinguished Sen Jarigbe Agom has been doing, Barr. Goffio has started his support even without occupying a public office. This is a testament to his readiness to work hand in hand with the Senator and other leaders in making sure that, the people of Cross River North and Cross Riverians in general, live healthy.
The water project by Barr. Goffio will span across Ogoja/Yala Federal constituency on, before and after election. It is not politically motivated but a project that was conceived long ago for the purpose of intervening on the many challenges of Ukelle Nation. Recall that, he toured every nook and cranny of Ukelle during the rainy season, to check some of the critical needs of the Ukelle people and discovered that, road and water remains the major problem of the people and promised to really contribute to alleviate the people’s sufferings.
Goffio’s approach remains practical towards ameliorating the sudden outbreak in the land.
