Akamkpa Ward Development Committee, an Association that aims at uplifting Health, Education, Tourism , and General Development of across the entire Akamkpa Ward in Odukpani Local Government Area presented an award of excellence to the Honourable Commissioner For Health, Dr.Janet Ekpenyong.
Dr. Janet Ekpenyong was awarded for her selfless support and unrelenting contributions towards the development of Primary Health Care Centre in Akamkpa Ward, Okoyong Community Odukpani Local Government Area.
Presenting the award the office complex of the commissioner Chief. Akiba Ekpenyong expressed his profound gratitude to Dr.Janet on her meritorious services to the health sector and ensuring the entire architecture and working environment is rebranded and given a facelift.
He further stated Dr.Ekpenyong’s commitment which he described as an all rounder in areas of finances, sponsorship, as well as offering professional advises.
The Award event which was held in appreciation of all those who contributed to the development of health, Tourism, Education in Akamkpa ward witnessed the commisioner being unavoidably absent
neccesitating the Secretary of AWDC Chief Akiba Ekpenyong making the presentation in her office.
Dr.Ekpenyong in her response thanked the group whilst promising the commitment of the State Government and her Office in ensuring quality and basic health care services are handy and accessible to all. She however retorted that in the coming days her office is considering coming up with a reward package to celebrate WDCs who have performed exceptionally well as a way of spurring them up to do more.
