A three-Storey building has collapsed in Nta Eke Street by Effio Ette in Ikot Ishie. Efforts are underway to rescue other workers from the rubble as one worker has been rescued already.
The Member-Elect, Calabar Municipal State Constituency, Hon. Stanley Nsemo quickly swung into action to rescue the situation with the provision of an excavator and relief materials while also collaborating with the Ministry of Health to provide an ambulance to convey survivors to the hospital.
It’s also alleged that substandard materials and faulty foundations might have caused the untimely collapse of the building.
