Nigerian Bar Association, Ogoja branch, which represents the entire Northern senatorial district of Cross River State, led by its Chairman, Barr. Lazarus Undie, yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Member representing Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency, Hon. Godwin Offiono in his National Assembly office.

Members of the Bar, some of whom were Hon. Godwin Offiono’s classmates in the University and Nigerian Law school, commended the MP for his steadfastness, persistency, and for making the legal profession proud, while also applauding the Honourable for his humility and receptiveness.
The Bar through its Chairman, Barr. Undie, Vice Chairman, Barr. Gabriel Igbung Ugan, Secretary, Barr. Cyprian Adikpe and Social Secretary, Barr. DC Enamhe PhD, applauded the MP for his people-centric motion on the need to stop excess charges and illegal deductions by commercial banks in Nigeria, moved on the floor of the House of Representatives, and his display of preparedness to represent the people of Ogoja/Yala fervently well. They presented a congratulatory portrait to the MP, encouraging him to continue his good work. The Bar further presented their challenges to the member, and pledged their continuous support for him as a colleague, classmate and their reps.
In his remarks, Hon. Offiono welcomed the Bar to his office and eulogised them for their dedication, courage and commitment in service to the society. He recounted and applauded them for their courageous support during the electioneering period especially for standing for the truth and making sure the right thing was done, for the good of the people and sustenance of Justice and Nigerian democracy.









“NBA-Ogoja gave strength and determination to many persons to come together in making sure where I am, became a reality. I assure you that I am going to make this mandate valuable and we will work together as former classmates and colleagues in the Bar to attract development to our constituency. I will be here for you and you should be there for me too.” – Hon. Offiono stated.
He assured that their challenges will be attended to periodically, amongst other tasks.
