In a momentous achievement that has made the nation proud, The CraftHouse SAGE team from the University of Calabar International Demonstration Secondary School Calabar has emerged as the winner of the SDGs-5 Gold Medal in the prestigious SAGE World Cup Competition 2023. What is more, they have also clinched the distinction of being the sole team worldwide to win the Stand Together competition this year and above all, the Craft house team have been offered 100% scholarship to Cyprus International University in Cyprus.

The SAGE (Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship) World Cup is an annual international competition that gathers young entrepreneurs and change-makers from all corners of the globe to showcase their innovative ideas and projects. The event provides a platform for students to address critical global issues while fostering entrepreneurship and leadership skills.
The CraftHouse’s SAGE team’s project, which focused on achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), not only impressed the judges but also resonated with the core values of the competition. The project embodied creativity, sustainable thinking, and a commitment to making the world a better place.
The Stand Together competition, a component of the SAGE World Cup, recognizes teams that successfully promote unity and inclusivity in their communities. The CraftHouse’s SAGE team outstanding efforts in this regard have resulted in them being the sole global champions of the Stand Together competition in 2023.
