The organised labour unions have vowed to embark on a nationwide strike over the attack on NLC President, Joe Ajaero.
In a 6-point demand to the F.G, the unions said: “The Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Barde should not only be investigated & redeployed but should also be held accountable for his action on Ajaero.
The Area Commander & the other officers who supervised the brutalisation of our President & other workers should be relieved of their office & stripped of their commission.
Mr Nwaneri Chinasa, Adviser on Special Duties who supervised the terror on workers & brutality meted out to Congress President be arrested immediately & prosecuted for his crimes against workers & the President.
They stressed that if the government fails to meet their demands, the NUC, TUC, & their affiliates will no longer guarantee peace in the country, as there will be nationwide protests.
The nationwide strike is to commence on November 8th, 2023.
