The Senator representing Cross River South Senatorial District, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong has been nominated by the clerk of the National Assembly, Sani Magaji Tambawal, fcna, as member/delegate to ECOWAS parliament.
According the nomination letter signed by the clerk, the term at the ECOWAS Parliament shall run concurrently with the Senator’s term in the Senate.
“The ECOWAS Parliament would be inaugurated on 8th March, 2024. Therefore, you are kindly requested to submit a copy of your Curriculum Vitae on or before 1st March, 2024, to the Directorate of Inter-parliamentary Relations and Protocol for onward submission to the ECOWAS Parliament for further action.
May I also inform you that Management has made adequate arrangement to collect all relevant documents for you,” the letter reads.
