Many people were killed after a female suicide bomber detonated an IED at a wedding ceremony in Gwoza town, Borno State, on Saturday, June 29.

According to a survivor, the woman bomber was carrying a baby on her back when she stormed the venue and detonated the IED.

The wedding was held at Tashan Mararaba near the Fire Service in Gwoza town, according to Channels Television. The number of death persons is yet to be ascertained but several of the injured persons are receiving treatment at the General Hospital in Gwoza.
