The Executive Chairman of Ikom Local Government Area, Hon. Pst. [Mrs] Mercy Nsor has constituted the Management Board and Technical Team of Ekabokon Stars Football Club in a bid towards harnessing Locally groomed talents and Promoting Sporting Activities,
In a Message signed by her Chief Press Secretary, Engr. Ntem Chris, the Chairman, charged all the newly Appointed Members and Officials to transform the team into an enviable one worthy of flying the Local Government and State’s Flag in Major Football Competitions.
She tasked them to, as a matter of urgency, Commence the scouting of locally groomed talents to achieve at least a National League Status before the winding up of the current Administration.
“Today is symbolic not just for football lovers but for us all in showcasing our diversity and uniqueness.
Football is one activity that doesn’t only unite us but promotes what we stand for as a people and, as such, the immediate formation of this Board. As a Government, we will continue to Promote issues of Human Capital Development, Peace and Reconciliation moves, and Talents Harvest across the 11 Wards of Ikom Local Government Area.
I therefore charge you all to without fear or favour, scout the best legs and hands to represent our historic team.
Be conscious of external influences or undue interference seeking to manipulate the team’s selection process for selfish gains; you know what’s best for the team, as I won’t accept anything less than consistent victory from the team.
We will continue to offer our support in areas of resource allocations, mobilization for matches, and maximum security at all times.” The Chairman stated.
